However, you choose to spend the weekend, one great way to bone up on the interesting things going on the world is to join me and D.R. McCale on Kicking the Anthill, presented by heard from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Saturday evenings on AM 930, KLUP, or on the web at http://www.KLUP.com. If you prefer participatory radio, we’d love to hear from you. You can call us at 210-308-8867 (toll free, 866-308-8867) or you can email us at Drexel@KickingTheAnthill.com.

Today On Kicking the Anthill: education, trends in the world and the affect of the media on the election.

Our first guest will be Marc Lampkin the Executive Director of Strong American Schools, part of the Ed in 08 campaign and supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Few things are more conservative than investment, which is why investing in the education of the next generation is one of the most important and ideologically sound policies any government can undertake.

In the second hour we’ll talk to Cliff Kincaid who is with Accuracy in Media to talk about the affect the media has been having on this year’s presidential election.  Now, more than ever, our information is pre-filtered for us, limiting its efficacy.

As the show winds down, we’ll talk to Kinney Zalesne who co-authored, with Mark Penn, MICROTRENDS: THE SMALL FORCES BEHIND TOMORROW’S BIG CHANGES. This well researched book identifies several from Teens to Technology to Love, Sex and Relationships.
