CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO THE FIRST HOUR: Guest Jeff Kass
CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO THE SECOND HOUR: Guests Nick Ayers and Fred Kavli
Visionary people always inspire me and give me great hope. I hope that parents will point out visionary people to their kids and show them that greatness is found everywhere and that no matter what kids do with their lives, they can make a difference.
On this week’s show we’ll talk about visions in 3 different areas. My first guest will be Jeff Kass who is an english teacher at Michigan’s Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. Jeff motivates and encourages his kids through poetry and Poetry Slams, which are not full contact poetry readings (“Darn!” I know), but rather competitions.
I’ll also be joined by Nick Ayers who is the Executive Director for the Republican Governor’s Association. The RGA is working hard to avoid the kind of partisan bickering that makes Congress so ineffective and simply make great policy for America and Nick will share with us his thoughts on the direction of the party and his hopes for the RGA’s growing influence.
And in the last segment I’ll talk to Fred Kavli. Fred Kavli is a Norwegian-born physicist, entrepreneur, business leader, innovator and philanthropist who is dedicated to supporting research and education that has a positive, long-term impact on the human condition. He is also the founder of the Kavli Foundation. The Kavli Foundation, based in Oxnard, California, is dedicated to the goals of advancing science for the benefit of humanity and promoting increased public understanding and support for scientists and their work. The Foundation’s mission is implemented through an international program of research institutes in the fields of astrophysics, nanoscience, neuroscience–the biggest things, the smallest things and the most amazing things.
