CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO THE SECOND HOUR: Guest Jason Lewis
Two very interesting guests will join me today. First, how do you feel about guns? I’ve never really been a gun-guy, even though I have some experience with them from my time in the military. And I’m not sure how my biblical world view affects my thinking. Well, Charl van Wyk, the author of SHOOTING BACK: THE RIGHT AND DUTY OF SELF DEFENSE will be my guest to talk about these issues. In 1993 he was in a church in South Africa that was attacked by terrorists. Having thought through these issues ahead of time, he was armed and returned fire. We’ll talk about his thought process ahead of time and the event itself.
And, changing gears significantly, I’ll also be joined by Jason Lewis. In 1994, he and friend Steve Smith, set out from England to attempt a circumnavigation of the world using only human power. They figured it would take about three years.
Oops. Thirteen years later Jason finished by himself. We’ll talk about his journey and his motivations.
DR and I will also continue to recap the Democratic Forum from a week and half ago; we’ll talk about our feelings on Global Warming and other topics in the news.
